Just the Three of us
Sorta unlikely title I suppose but just the way my sweet Lord speaks to me in bringing out something He wants us to see.
The three of us I see in this has some interesting characteristics.
One of us is never happy, well, that is unless it is something connected to the “Vanity Fair” of this world or perhaps the indulgence of “the pleasure of sin for a season.”
One of us is happy some of the time but not all the time. It sorta depends on the circumstances surrounding this one at the time. Many times this one is happy when all is going well and the sun is shinning ever so brightly and the wind is his sails.
Then again there are the times when there is more water inside the ship than under the ship. Not really happy during those days. Not interested in the “Vanity Fair and the likes of “the pleasure of sin for a season” as the first one mentioned but many times lacking in faith in third one.
Then there is the Third one who is always happy. Never at any time interested in the “Vanity Fair” or the “pleasures of sin for a season” neither indeed can ever be.
First one mentioned is none other the “old nature” we all contend with every day. Not subject to true happiness simply because, no life in this nature. No change in this nature to make it possible to enjoy real joy in The Lord.
Second one mentioned is the “new nature” found in every believer. This nature will and can be influenced by either first or third one mentioned above. All depends on which “nature” this one listens to.
The third one mentioned is none other than “Christ In Us.” Dwelling in the Person of The Sweet Holy Spirit. He is always happy in Himself though not always happy with us due to who so many times we listen to. Happy with us when we listen to Him but not happy when we listen to first one.
Just the three us.
First one should be ignored at all cost simply because he cannot be trusted and is very deceiving and only out for himself.
Second one really needs to pay attention and always aware of dangers at hand. He always needs to listen to and pay attention to third one mentioned. Third one can always be trusted and will never lead astray. He knows what real happiness is and willing to give help and strength instantly and freely to second one the moment he ask and obey.
Third one is ever faithful and always more than able to come to the rescue of second “nature” in time of need. Plus third one truly enjoys spending time with second nature in Holy fellowship and walk and fully trust in Him.
Each and every day we have these to consider. Which is more important to us each day”

We have these choices each day. Let us choose wisely who we listen to.
