My daughter once asked me what my favorite hymn was. I told her I could never chose a favorite because I love so many of them. One among many that stands out to me is “Great Is Thy Faithfulness.” When I hear it sung, my mind goes back to times in my life when God has shown Himself faithful to me–too many times to count. To feel His presence, to see His hand move in situations in my life, to know He is watching over me and my family, is humbling. His faithfulness gives me strength and reassures me that He will always be my refuge. He has always been faithful to show His love for me, His tender mercy and trustworthiness. As I get older, this song means even more to me as I see more evidence of His great faithfulness. It becomes more than words of a song. It is with a grateful heart of worship that I praise my Lord and Savior. He is so worthy!
